Okay I think everyone has seen that there has been an increase in female rapper entering the game...good and bad. Today I’m gonna talk about my favorite female rappers cause why not maybe I can put some of y’all on...so let’s go. (PSSSST...not in any order)
10.Qveen Herby

So far only releasing EP’s every single one has an improvement from the last. You can clearly see her development throughout her career. Being able to pull off ridiculous fast paced flows and sultry type flows she has great versatility. Working with different production types she proves herself being able to put in the effort and work to make great music.
9.Junglepussy

One female rapper that can rap about her sexuality without it being too much. Usually using a slower paced flow it works in her favor. Being able to catch your attention using light melody inducing production. When she’s rapping her charisma can keep any person listening. With her newest album Jp3 she finds the perfect balance of singing, rapping and production for a pleasant experience.
8.Rico Nasty

Being able to be in your face through her music (Nasty and Anger Management) and also being able to be more on the soft and calm side of things (Tales of Tacobello). While most wouldn’t credit her as being the most lyrically inclined rapper it’s her charisma and energy that hooks most people into listening to her. Being one of the more successful rappers in the scream-rap genre it’s with good reason. With Bass inducing instrumentals and her loud raspy voice it’s easy to get hyped off of her music.
7.Kari Faux

SOOOOO underrated it hurts...with two albums and one EP her discography is almost perfect in my opinion. Her voice is just so calm and almost effortless but it sounds so good. She has some songs you can just chill out to and then she has some bangers that just can make anyone dance. With her newest release CRY 4 HELP an EP that just helps prove that she is just as talented as I give her credit for. (Please listen to it)
6.Doja Cat

As most people know her from her meme song Moooo. Let me tell you something if you look at the rest of her discography and everything she has released she is a talented rapper. Very versatile and can change up her flow very well. Quick suggestion listen to her songs that are on SoundCloud those are where it’s at. With her new sophomore album that just released recently and has so far been doing pretty well I think this is the project that’ll definitely cement her into the rap game.
5.Rapsody

Most people have heard of Rapsody but if you haven’t then your missing out. I’ve never seen her make a change to her music if it wasn’t her idea. She’s never tried to fit into your stereotypical female rapper conforms which is what makes her music just that much better. With Thank H.E.R Now being my favorite album from her all her albums are enjoyable in there respective rights.
4.Lauryn Hill

One of the most influential female rapper no rapper in general hands down. Her album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill being one of my favorite albums in general. I don’t think any rapper has ever done some of the things Lauryn has done. Talking about different subjects with enjoyable production you could never go wrong with her.
3.Tierra Whack

With her experimental 15 minute album Whack World I was fully immersed. She can freestyle, write, and is just creative overall. With catchy lyrics and nice smooth flows. I’m always listening to Whack because her music has great replay-ability. I’m glad she’s getting a following now because she definitely deserves it.
2.Little Simz

With her whole discography being great and showcasing her steady development and improvements I’m surprised more people don’t talk about her. Being based in Britain her accent when rapping is just something to experience. Her newest album GREY Area that is one of the best rap albums of this year. Using jazzy and high instrument based production it just sounds so good. Blank Canvas and GREY Area being my favorite albums from her she definitely can be labeled one of the best female rappers or at least in my top 10.
1.Noname

Known for her silhouette rap and her poetry based rhymes Noname has not made a bad song and I think that she could never. Her albums Telefone and Room 25 are great albums. Her style and tone setting her apart from most rappers and letting her have her own lane. If you ever get to see her preform live trust me you won’t be disappointed. Such a respectable rapper honestly with great music
Well you have reached the end hopefully you take the time out and listen to some of these rappers because they have so much talent and creativity.musi
