Hello beautiful people I know I’m a day late but I’m back at it again with my second installment of this weekly series. Once again following the same format as last week I’m here to discuss some new music I’ve had the pleasure of listening to hope you enjoy. the read and to keep this intro short lets jump right into it.
ALBUMS
Lonely Generation-Echosmith (2020)
Indie Pop

With the group stressing being authentic as possible with this project I wonder how and what they consider to be their truest sound. Honestly this is just generic indie pop music. I’ve heard these sounds before and honestly I’ve heard them sounding better. There’s nothing that sets them apart from all the other bands that make music like this. I’m not saying it’s bad just that it’s not anything you absolutely need to listen to. The production is generic, lyrics generic, they are generic. Definitely a underwhelming project.
RATING:4/10
Riot Pop-Wasi (2020)
Alternative/indie

not many people know this band I don’t even know this band but it was recommended to me so I took a listen and personally I didn’t care for it much. The aesthetic of this project was spot on for what they were going for it sounds colorful and vibrant but it falls flat in other departments. The production is mediocre at best and there’s nothing that sets it apart or wows me. This I feel is either a hit or miss with people either you like it or you don’t.
RATING:5/10
Music To Be Murdered To-Eminem (2020)
Rap/Hip-Hop

After his past two releases I just wondered what he was going to do to show that he still had what it takes to make a solid album. This album was not that album. For the life of me I could never understand why he just won’t stop making music and let his legacy play out. His older stuff such as “The Slim Shady LP“ and “The Eminem Show” were the peak of his career. With this he’s trying to hard to sound like newer rappers with having features such as Young M.A and Juice WRLD. Trying his hand with newer trap productions to please newer audiences but it does not work at all. I respect what Eminem has built for himself but I find my self not liking the direction he’s going in.

EP
sorry nothing here to see
SINGLES
Call Me-Empress Of (2020)
Electronic pop

Don’t know the movie but I’ve been listing to Empress Of for a few years and I can honestly say I like this track it gives off this 90’s electronic feels. Empress voice sounds the same but in this case that’s a good thing. Not much to say here really except that.
RATING:8/10
Bikini Porn/Passion And Pain Taste The Same When I’m Weak-Tove Lo (2020)
pop

She's back with two new tracks that she wrote with FINNEAS (Billie Eilish's brother and collaborator). The first, "Bikini Porn," feels fit for an unseasonably warm January one where she’s just letting it all lose and then "Passion and Pain Taste the Same When I'm Weak" offers the flip side of that equation a woozy comedown from the rush that preceded it.
RATING:7/10
NO RAP KAP-Kodie Shane (Feat. Trippie Redd) (2020)

Definitely not my favorite rap song but these two work together well. Both of their energies mesh well and it’s a simple trap song that you can play at a party and it won’t hurt anyone but it’s mediocre but still fun nonetheless.
RATING:6/10
